• Mike Hanna

    FOUNDER

    Mike Hanna grew up on the Chesapeake Bay, racing sailboats and fishing with his family. He founded his own mobile marine business, and then transitioned to working as the general manager of a local marina. Mike spent 23 years growing the marina to have a full-service department, as well as a successful sales team. Mike has held his USCG Captain’s License for over 35 years. He previously served as the president of both the Virginia Marine Industries, as well as the Virginia Marine Trade Association. He has a vast knowledge of all things boating, including mechanics, restorations and proper boat handling. Mike also works as the lower bay manager for the Association of Maryland Pilots. In his free time, he loves being out on the water, landscaping and spending time with his growing family.

    Mike was raised in the Midwest and has always enjoyed working in a sales position. His sales career, in turn, led him into owning a successful steel fabricating business for 22 years. He relocated to southern Virginia after selling his company. Outside of work, Mike spent the last 40 years of his free time mostly pleasure boating and deep sea fishing. Mike turned his passion for boating into a new career with helping others buy and sell their power boats and yachts. Mike continues to take pleasure with being on the water in addition to being part of the sales team for Southern Bay Yachts Sales.

  • Patrick Hanna

    SALES ASSOCIATE

    As a native of Poquoson and a current resident of Hardyville in Middlesex, Captain Patrick Hanna has never strayed from the water. While most kids were just kicking training wheels off their bikes,Patrick was already piloting skiffs on the Poquoson River. Growing up sailing, hunting, and fishing on the bay and offshore Carolina laid the groundwork for a career in the maritime industry, which began at a boatyard in Yorktown. Patrick now has an extensive commercial background running tugboats from the East Coast to the Gulf, with a specialty in ship docking in Norfolk harbor. His career as a professional mariner has transitioned to expertise on the recreational side, where he takes pride in helping clients enjoy the same waters and lifestyle that he’s grown to love, and now enjoys with his own family.
